Teaching positions in 2012-2013

American University of Central Asia is calling for applications for teaching positions in 2012-2013. We seek faculty with a deep appreciation of the liberal arts and a willingness to contribute to the development of our inter-disciplinary, interactive and student-oriented learning environment. Faculty members at AUCA will be
expected to teach three courses per semester and be actively engaged in scholarly research as well as student mentoring, supervision of senior projects and university-wide activities. The language of instruction is English.

American University of Central Asia is an international, multi-disciplinary learning community in the American liberal arts tradition that develops enlightened and impassioned leaders for the democratic transformation of Central Asia. It is located in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, and hosts about 1200 students from about 20
countries. From June 2011, in partnership with Bard College, AUCA grants Bard degrees to AUCA graduates in nine academic disciplines. For more on AUCA, please visit our website at http://www.auca.kg.

AUCA will continue accepting applications until the positions are filled. Priority will be given to applications received by March 2012.

International and Business Law Department

AUCA's International and Business Law Department is now accepting applications for one teaching positions open to qualified applicants, for the academic year 2012-2013. Areas of teaching: Legal Skills oriented courses

The ideal candidates will be able to teach the following courses:
 * Legal Skills
 * Legal Writing
 * Legal Research Methods
 * Moot Court

Applicants should meet the following minimal requirements
1) PhD degree or Master's in Law (LLM)
2) Fluent in English
3) University teaching experience
