An Albanian independent daily newspaper, Shekulli was first published in September 1997 and shortly became the biggest national daily with a circulation of 24.000 copies. Objectivity and the journalists' high level of professionalism back up this success.
Among Shekulli's assets are its proximity to readers through the letters to the editor, opinion, and metro pages; its availability on the Internet since May 1999 for readers outside Albania; and foreign correspondents in countries such as Macedonia, Kosovo, Greece and France.
Published seven days a week, Shekulli belongs to the media group Sh.A. Spekter, which also publishes the weekly magazine Spekter and the sports daily Sporti Shqiptar.
